Rope is an excellent low level barrier for decking and for bordering a drive or garden path. Our manila rope is imported directly from the Philippines, and by supplying our ropes in a minimum length of 10 metres, we are able to keep our prices at a very low level.

Manila Rope and Polyhemp Rope can be attractively finished with brass or chrome fittings. Rope Ends will attach a rope tidily to the post, and when the rope is threaded through a post, each side of the post can be finished with a smart Rope End. The Hook and Eye fittings are suitable when a barrier needs to be removed for entry, and the Finishing Plate will give a neat finish to a post that has been drilled to take rope. These are available for 24mm and 28mm rope.

Manila is a natural fibre and will shorten when the rope comes into contact with water. The fibres absorb the water and swell causing the rope to shorten. When the rope dries it will then lengthen. You should allow a minimum of 10% to your requirement to take this into account.

IF THE MANILA ROPE IS SOAKED IN WATER, IT SWELLS, AND WILL NOT FIT INTO THE BRASS OR CHROME FITTINGS.
